Wiki:Copyrights

From Wiki

The text on the Wiki is automatically granted copyright under the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works by its Contributors and is licensed under to the public or not, in the case of userpages (see Userpages). By editing the Wiki, you hereby grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable license for others to use, modify, reproduce, distribute and display any content provided by contributors. Work published on the Wiki will be released under public domain, the CC0 license.

The publicated content's license remains unchanged, and regardless of external factors, it shall remain unchanged; therefore, it has been linked above. The license shall remain invariant, without the inclusion of smallprint or other misleading injections into said license.

Contributors' rights

If you contribute to the Wiki, you thereby license it under a public or other license mentioned in this page or relevant policies, and allow reuse of it under CC0. Other forms of media may also be published under this license, or a different license; an image's license will be explicitly stated on its information page, whether free or non-free.

Governing copyright law

The Wiki is based in England, United Kingdom and as such is governed by United Kingdom copyright law. Laws of other non-UK countries, specifically governing copyright status, should also be observed when contributing to the Wiki.

Works of the UK government

Works produced by or for the Crown, are defined as "Crown Copyright," as mentioned in the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Most works under this categorisation are typically licensed under the OGLv3.0; however, unless strictly stated, do not assume such license.

Fair Use

Under some local laws—especially the UK, which is where the Wiki is hosted—"fair use" permits the usage of copyrighted content for the sole purpose of personal, educational or informative reasons. It is the sole responsibility of the Contributor to ensure that any copyrighted, non-personal content complies with UK copyright laws and is legally viable for publication.

Trademarks and logos

Content owned by the Wiki owner, Alfredo, or any content whose usage is explicitly permitted by the Wiki, may be displayed on the platform.

Userpages

By publishing content to pages on your own userpage, (e.g. "User:Example"), you own the exclusive intellectual property of such content, under the governing law of the Wiki—that of the UK's, under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988—this unique scenario is established. However, should you infringe upon the rights of another, administrators reserve the right to terminate the page or the user. In such cases, administrators may also take further action as deemed necessary to address infringements, in accordance with applicable laws.
